In this time of economic austerity there are not many incentives to dust off the wallet and part with one's hard-earned cash. This might all be about to change with SEAT's rather generous new offer.
The details are quite straightforward. All qualifying vehicles are eligible for a discount equivalent to the VAT shown in the price list. That means 17.5 percent off the basic price of the vehicle and any factory-fitted extras.
For example, the offer as applied to a new SEAT Leon 1.4 TSI Sport with optional metallic paint and Media Pack:
Recommended retail price: £18,055
SEAT's offer price: £15,545.96
To qualify for the deal, the car must be delivered to customer before the end of 2010.
With the government heralding plans to implement a VAT increase early next year, there really hasn't been a better time to grab a bargain.
