Prices for the Vauxhall Cascada have been announced and the convertible range will start at £23,995 for the 1.4-litre Turbo petrol-powered SE model. At launch two trim levels (SE and Elite) and four engines are offered and the first cars arrive in dealers this April.
Standard equipment on the Cascada SE includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and aux/USB input for the sound system. Elite specification adds front fog lamps, leather upholstery and heated front seats and steering wheel.
The 1.4-litre engine develops 140hp with CO2 emissions of 148g/km. Next most powerful is the 165hp, 2.0-litre diesel; offered with both manual and automatic transmissions. The 2.0-litre is the most efficient engine in the range with a combined cycle fuel economy of 54.3mpg in manual form and 138g/km emissions. The first engine from Vauxhall's MGE (Mid-Size Gasoline) family debuts in the Cascada. The 1.6-litre SIDI Turbo Ecotec develops 170hp, is available only with an automatic transmission and produces 168 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
Shortly after launch a 195hp, 2.0-litre diesel with a manual gearbox will join the range. Fuel economy matches the less powerful diesel and Vauxhall quotes 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds and a 143mph top speed for this version. The range topping Cascada Elite 2.0 Bi-turbo Start/Stop costs £29,080.
Vauxhall is offering its Flexible Finance scheme on the Cascada with zero per cent APR representative, any deposit and terms from 24 to 60 months.
