Countess Elena and the hand-me-down Hyundai
Soviet spies, vampires, communism and cars that can disappear; just a shame it's not an actual movie.

A story about vampires and not a single mention of Robert Pattinson? About bloody time! Hyundai's entry for the LA Design Challenge revolves around Countess Elena, a 182-year old vampire who, having spent the Second World War working as a spy for the Soviet Union, now finds herself fighting against the negative effects of communism around the globe.

To help her along the way Elena uses two vehicles that were passed down to her from her parents and modified over the years. The DB Atlant Airship is the mother-base that floats, unhidden, high in the sky while the Hyundai Stratus Sprinter does all the dirty work. The Stratus is described as a multi-purpose vehicle that has light combat capabilities, but its high ground clearance and ability to travel on any road make it sound more like a Nissan Qashqai rivalling crossover.

The Countess knows she cannot be seen by anyone in her fight to protect freedom and justice and so both of the vehicles have a magical stealth force that renders them invisible during daylight, only to reappear after dark. We've looked through the options list of the new Hyundai i40 and can't find this one anywhere.
