A new entry-level Ford Focus in Studio trim costs from £13,995 and the first will be with customers on 1 September.
The Focus Studio replaces the Sport model and comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, CD stereo and USB connector, electric front windows and ESP traction control.
Only available as a five-door hatch, the Studio has an 84bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine to offer 47.9mpg.
Ford is reverting to its Model T policy of limiting colour choice, though the Focus Studio is available in the more generous range of black, silver or white.
