Fiat has decided to give the 500 TwinAir its own distinct model line-up to recognise the popularity of the two-cylinder engine.
The TwinAir will come in standard and TwinAir Plus versions and each gains additional equipment over other 500 models. The TwinAir comes with black-painted 15-inch alloy wheels, burnished metal-effect mouldings, rear spoiler and chromed exhaust pipe.
Inside, there's also burnished metal trim and sports seats, and all TwinAir models come with air conditioning as standard. The TwinAir will come in four colours: Pearlescent Red, Tropicalia Yellow, Electroclash Grey and Midnight Black.
The TwinAir Plus has larger 16-inch alloy wheels, dark-tinted windows, steering wheel controls for the stereo, climate control and Fiat's Blue&Me infotainment system.
Fiat has not changed the 0.9-litre TwinAir engine, which offers 95g/km carbon dioxide emissions to qualify for free road tax and entry to London's Congestion Charge zone.
The new models are available in hatch and convertible guises, with prices starting at £11,600 for the TwinAir and £12,700 for the TwinAir Plus.
