Lamborghini is never shy when it comes to promoting its cars and the latest video for the new Aventador shows it taking on and defeating the full forces of nature.
Sure, it's a lot of brand-hyping marketing puff, but for all of us at Car Enthusiast it's a chance to see and hear one of the most sensational supercars of the year.
The video shows the Aventador, in its de rigueur orange paintwork, sliding around a desert dodging chunks of rock and sand storms. Just as importantly, it has the Aventador doing a little slidey sideways driving of the sort we all wish we could indulge in with our new £201,900 Lamborghini.
As a pay-off at the end of the video, Lamborghini describes the Aventador as a "Relentless Force." Seems about right to us for a 690bhp supercar. Have a look at the video and decide for yourself if Lamborghini has what it takes to win an award at the Cannes film festival:
17 May: Ford owners with cars using the 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine can now get up to 34 extra horsepower from Superchips. The remap costs £445 including VAT and is covered by a 12-month, 30,000-mile warranty.
16 May: The Porsche Museum is participating in the Mille Miglia recreation from 17-20 May. A 550 Spyder, three 356 Speedsters and a 356 Coupé will tackle the course that runs from Brescia to Rome.
16 May: Four Toyota GT86s and one Lexus LFA will compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours race this weekend. Gazoo Racing will campaign the LFA and two GT86s, painted in black, white and red. The team has already had two class wins at the circuit with the Lexus. [photo]
