More power for no price increase is the deal from Subaru for its STI in four-door saloon and five-door hatch forms. The STI now comes with 316bhp from its turbocharged 2.5-litre "boxer" four-cylinder engine for the unchanged price of £32,995.
Power for the STI rises by 20bhp from the previous model's 296bhp, helping the 0-62mph drop to just 4.9 seconds. The only downside to the uprated power for the STI is that Subaru is only offering this upgrade for a limited period, running from now (April 5) until 31 June.
For those buying an STI with the free power upgrade, they get a full Subaru warranty and also free satellite navigation as part of the deal. The satnav comes with a touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity and MP3 player connection. For security, the satnav screen is detachable.
