What is it?
The 700 Biturbo by Brabus is the real deal, with two turbochargers breathing on a 6.2-litre V8, as well as a new intercooler and exhaust system, blessing the car with 690bhp and 626lb.ft. Brabus also claims it's more comfortable than the regular Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG because of its bespoke Bilstein suspension. Yet, it takes a trifling 10.2 seconds to get to 124mph, only 3.7 seconds to hit 62mph and has a top speed of 213mph.
Why's it here?
We imagine that, when the chief of Brabus first received a picture of the Mercedes SLS, he forwarded it to all his mates with a simple 'LOL'; talk about making someone's job easy. The Brabus SLS wears a wide body kit crafted from carbon fibre, which was honed in the wind tunnel and can either be left clear coated or painted in any colour. This is far from the only SLS in Geneva (the car is second only to the Porsche Panamera for aftermarket body kit jobs) but it's probably the most credible one.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Well, it's far from the most garish SLS on display (an award that, surprisingly, goes to Mercedes itself for the blindingly neon yellow electric SLS), but it's probably the most intriguing. The exterior and carbon swathed interior both have that mix of menace and luxury that Brabus does so very well. We like it.
