What is it?
SEAT took something perfect and painted it red. Well, Geneva 2010's IBE concept wasn't perfect, but it did look nice and promise zero-emissions driving fun - the same promise SEAT makes of this slightly tweaked red version in Paris.
Why's it here?
Everyone's favourite Spanish automaker has gone all green fingered and brought a recycled car to Paris. SEAT claims that it's been updated, but it's essentially the same 101bhp electric 2+2 coupé: 100mph, 0-62mph in 9.7 seconds, 81-mile range. In fairness, it does have some new iPhone functionality now.
Show stopper or floor filler?
It's a lovely looking thing, but a spray tan and Bluetooth do not a real head-turner make. It's the sexiest thing on SEAT's stand, mind, and if SEAT decides to make it, there's not doubt it'll raise the brand's profile. The iPhone thing, by the way, allows drivers to check the car's remaining battery charge remotely and wirelessly connect their music library to the car. Very youthful.
