Suzuki unveiled the R3, a new six-seat concept car, at the 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi.
The R3 was designed by Maruti Suzuki, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese manufacturer. It features three rows of seats with easy access thanks to rear doors that are hinged from their trailing edges - and no centre pillar. The design is claimed to offer big family space in a package that is easy to manoeuvre in congested environments.
Although Suzuki has not linked the R3 to a future model it is easy to imagine a production version. Not only would it fit into Maruti Suzuki's range in India but it would probably do well in the UK and Europe.
