When we first drove the Europa we found it resided in an odd no man's land in the marketplace. We concluded that it was only an average Lotus and something of an anti-climax compared to the Elise and Exige. We weren't alone in our criticism and Lotus has been quick to react and offer a number of improvements for the car.

For some, the Lotus Elise and Exige are extreme enough to be thought of as purely toys for the financially well endowed. Some at Lotus Sport disagree and so the 2-Eleven was born.
