GORGEOUS TT ROADSTER PRICED FOR UK SALE

Audi must be confident that they are on to a winner with the TT roadster as they will have missed the summer rush for open-top cars by the time it is launched at the end of this year. We certainly believe that the TT is to be a smash hit. Point out another car, so radical, yet at the same time so beautiful.

Equipped with the 180bhp version of the turbocharged 1.8-litre, four-cylinder engine the entry-level Audi TT Roadster Quattro will cost UK�29,150 (OTR). This rises to �32,150 (OTR) for the 225bhp flagship. 45bhp for �3000? Hmmm. Luckily the equipment level is significantly higher.

A powered soft-top and an electrically adjustable glass wind deflector will be fitted as standard to both versions, and the full quota of equipment featured in the two Coup� Quattro models will also be carried over to the Roadster Quattro. This includes alloy wheels, remote control central locking, heated and leather upholstered front sports seats, a leather-rimmed sports steering wheel, electronic climate control, electric windows and mirrors and a radio cassette.

In 225bhp guise the Audi TT Roadster Quattro gains larger 17-inch six-spoke alloy wheels with wider, lower profile tyres, twin exhaust tailpipes, xenon headlights with electronic washers, a six-speed manual gearbox and a Driver's Information System.

Both models will feature driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags (head and thorax), ABS with EBD Electronic Brake Force Distribution, EDL Electronic Differential Lock traction control governing the front wheels and the latest electro-hydraulically controlled version of the Quattro permanent four-wheel-drive system.

The Coup�'s individual interior design is a feature of the new Roadster, but it will include some unique detailing of its own. The special leather upholstery with 'Baseball Glove' stitching which featured in the Roadster design study will be available as an optional extra for instance. A must for anybody that loves cars as much as we do.
