What's the news?
French rally legend and general all-round top driver Sébastien Loeb has won the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb shoot-out in his Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak car.
It's not surprising that a car dedicated to scrambling up hills, piloted by arguably the most talented driver on the planet, won the event, posting a scorching time of 44.60 seconds - the sixth fastest sortie ever up the 1.16-mile course.
The next nearest vehicle to Loeb's all-conquering 208 this year was a Maserati MC12 'Goodwood Cent 100' driven by former GT1world champion Michael Bartels - it was 1.22 seconds behind Loeb.
Anything else?
The fastest ever car up the hillclimb course was a McLaren MP4/13 Formula One car driven by Nick Heidfeld in 1999, at just 41.6 seconds.
