What's the news?
Peugeot has revealed a new special edition of the RCZ coupé. Called the 'Red Carbon', the new model is limited to just 300 units in the UK and it features a liberal smattering of bespoke items over and above the already high specification Sport model on which it is based. Available in either Moroccan Red or Nera Black, the Red Carbon's exterior is complemented by the 'Black Pack', which includes matt black roof arches, brilliant black front grille, door mirror covers and brake callipers.
Also included as standard is the 'Vision Pack', which brings with it Xenon, directional and self-levelling headlamps, plus 19-inch Solstice alloy wheels. Inside, unique Red Carbon sports seats are trimmed in 'Simple Leather' with red stitching, as too are the dashboard, steering wheel and gear shifter. The limited edition model also includes the Peugeot Connect Navigation system and Connect USB Box with Bluetooth connectivity.
Anything else?
Considering all the other changes you may be disappointed to find no mechanical updates under the bonnet. The RCZ Red Carbon is available with a choice of three engines. The 1.6-litre 156hp model is priced from £26,000; the 200hp version from £28,400; and the range topping 163hp 2.0-litre diesel is £27,850.
