What's the news?
Looks like the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge super saloon is destined for the road, not just a motor show plinth. Infiniti has released images and footage of the 560hp monster under development right here in the UK.
Powered by a VR38DETT engine (that's the mammoth 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo used in the Nissan GT-R, in case you're wondering), a working version of the possible super saloon has been put through its paces by some German chap called Sebastian Vettel at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.
We don't know much more at this stage, other than that the reigning F1 champion put the Q50 ER through a 'challenging series of performance, handling and precision driving evaluations' and that his feedback on the hot Infiniti will be engineered into the next stages of the prototype's development programme, hopefully with the viability of a production version the ultimate outcome.
Anything else?
More details on the car will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show on April 20, but if you can't wait that long, here's a teaser version of the full video that will be shown at the launch, with Director of Performance Vettel at the wheel.
