What's the news?
Mitsubishi is bringing the Lancer Evolution back to the UK to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary in the UK. Just 40 of the Evolution X FQ-440 MRs in Frost White will be made; each one costing £50,000.
Exterior
Apart from the colour the new Evos can be recognised by 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, bi-Xenon headlamps with an adaptive lighting system and front fog lamps.
Interior
Inside there are leather covered Recaro seats and the steering wheel is also wrapped in hide. In-car entertainment is provided by a Rockford Fosgate premium sound system with eight speakers and a subwoofer. Music can be stored on an SD card or streamed via Bluetooth.
Mechanicals
Janspeed intake and exhaust components, combined with a HKS turbo and 'motorsport specification' injectors help the engine develop 446hp. This is fed through a six-speed twin clutch automatic transmission to all four wheels. Bringing things to a halt is a set of Alcon brakes using six-piston, mono-block callipers on the front wheels. The suspension is also uprated with Eibach springs and a lower ride height.
Anything else?
All special edition Evolutions come with an on-board data recorder. This records driving style, performance, vehicle diagnostics and present location.
