Bentley has launched a range of upgrades for its Mulsanne model, after apparently making the decision that its flagship simply wasn't luxurious enough.
The first of these upgrades is the Comfort Specification. This package includes comfort headrests, which are larger than standard-fit ones and feature adjustable bolsters. These are coupled with individually tailored footrests, duck-down filled loose cushions and storage compartments in the armrests.
Complementing the Comfort Specification is the option of fitting electrically operated curtains, integrated into the rear doors and rear window. These are controlled either by the driver or rear passengers and come in Black or Ivory.
The Entertainment Specification has been introduced, too. The gems of the upgrade are the two soft-hide picnic tables designed to work with iPads and wireless keyboards. This is enhanced by Bentley making the Mulsanne a WiFi hotspot with the ability to connect up to eight devices. Two eight-inch LCD rear screens have also been fitted to the front headrests; as well as a 20GB hard drive, a DVD player and Bentley's premium 'Naim for Bentley' audio system, which should provide all the entertainment a passenger needs.
In line with the Mulsanne's enhancements, Bentley has launched three new colours for the model. Dark Cashmere grey, Pale Sapphire-inspired Portofino and rich-purple Damson are new for the outside, while Brunel, Saffron and Damson interior colours are designed to complement the exterior paint finishes.
Customers can also have a new six-piece bespoke luggage set to match their new Mulsanne.
These upgrades will be showcased at the Geneva International Salon d'Auto in March with order books opening in April. Expect them to be expensive.
