Jaguar's latest R-S model is to be revealed for the first time at the Los Angeles Motor Show next week. This high performance saloon will sit alongside the XKR-S in Jaguar's highly tuned model range.
Whilst we won't know final details until the unveiling we can speculate that the car will share the supercharged, quad-cam, 5.0-litre V8 motor found in the XKR-S. If this is so, the XFR-S will produce 550hp, go from 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds and top out somewhere near 190mph. We can also expect some chassis and suspension tweaks from the XFR, giving even sharper handling and a firmer ride.
In terms of visuals, early spy shots suggest a more aggressively styled body kit than the one found on the XFR; and passengers can expect Jaguar's traditional high-quality interior with a few sporty touches added.
Two other new models from Jaguar Land Rover will be making an appearance at the LA Auto Show alongside the XFR-S. Both the new F-Type and the 2013 model Range Rover will make their US debut on 28th November.
The press conference will be streamed live on both
