MG has introduced a new trim level to its ZR range. Buyers are now able to specify a 'Trophy' MG ZR on all models bar the top-of-the range MG ZR 160.
The Trophy models are distinguished from the rest of the range below the 160 by alloys, side sills and rear bumper extensions as well as a new design of rear lamp, which sadly look like a bad aftermarket job in the photographs. Two versions are available: the Trophy featuring 16-inch alloys, CD/tuner with six speakers, an electric sunroof and leather-rimmed steering wheel and gear knob; the Trophy SE shares the ZR 160's 17-inch alloys and adds an MP3 player, air conditioning, part-leather seats and better seat adjustment to the mix.
The full MG ZR line-up (on-the-road prices) is as follows:
- ZR 105 Trophy 3-door: £9,995
- ZR 105 Trophy SE 3-door: £10,995
- ZR 120 Trophy SE 3-door: £12,425
- ZR TD Trophy 3-door: £11,795
- ZR TD Trophy SE 3-door: £12,795
- ZR 160 3-door: £14,995
For the five-door models, add £550 (except for the ZR 160, which is £650 more in 5-door format).
The Car Enthusiast will shortly test drive the new-look MG ZR TD, so watch out for the review on the main
Road Tests page.
