What is it?
The SA APERTA is a roadster version of the 599, built in homage to Pininfarina. Its windscreen is shorter than the 599s, and its engine upgraded to 661bhp, while the cloth roof is only for downpour emergencies.
Why's it here?
It's here to show that Ferrari has listened to the cries for a convertible 599, and it means that a proper, full-scale production version might be on the cards. Sadly only 80 SA APERTAs will be knocked together in Maranello, and they're all sold already.
Show stopper or floor filler?
It's a Ferrari, so what do you think? The £340,000 SA APERTA really does look great in the metal. Ferrari says it has worked hard on the chassis to make sure it's strong without being much heavier at all, so it should be great to drive too. Only the lucky few will ever know, though.
