Nissan has added stop-start to its
Qashqai range. The fuel-saving measure is available as an option on the 1.6-litre petrol model and drops same by one VED tax band. The popular variant has increased outputs of 115bhp and 117lb.ft of torque (up from 113bhp and 115lb.ft). The addition of stop-start improves fuel economy by up to three percent and reduces emissions from 144- to 139g/km - or from 154- to 149g/km for the
seven-seat Qashqai+2.
A particulate filter is now standard on all diesel versions of the crossover, while output for the 1.5-litre diesel has increased from 104- to 108bhp. All Qashqai and Qashqai+2 models are now compliant with Euro V emissions regulations.
The n-tec trim now comes with Nissan Connect (a combined satellite navigation and audio system), a colour reversing camera, panoramic glass roof, privacy glass and 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.
A new Chrome Pack option with chrome door handles, chrome fog lamp surrounds and chrome side strips is now available to order. Inside, the new option pack includes door and tailgate entry guards and carpet mats.
Nissan's UK MD, Paul Willcox comments: "Anything we do to the Qashqai is always significant news for Nissan - this is our best selling model on its home turf here in the UK. Its continued success is great news for UK manufacturing and everyone at Nissan's Sunderland Plant."
