Celebrating four years of competing in the Nürburgring 24-hour race, Aston Martin has unveiled a special edition model called the V8 Vantage N420. Extra standard equipment, reduced weight and unique colour options set it apart from the regular car.
The N420 is powered by the standard V8 Vantage's 4.7-litre engine, producing 420bhp. Official performance figures are unchanged, though the new model sheds 27kg in weight thanks to more extensive use of carbon fibre.
That's partly due to the inclusion of carbon fibre seats. They feature 'Race Track' stitching, which is complemented by N420 sill plaques, an 'Iridium' interior package and the choice of leather or Alcantara for the steering wheel rim.
Exterior changes extend to carbon fibre for the front splitter, side strakes and rear diffuser, with wider sills, 10-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels with gloss black finish, black mesh vents and 'Graphitic' exhaust pipe finishers also included. Buyers will have the option of painting their N420 in a distinctive scheme from the 'Race Collection'. Included are 'Rose' yellow, 'Kermit' green and 'Elwood' blue, along with Aston Martin Racing green and the 'Asia Cup' livery shown on the white car here.
To go along with the racier look Aston Martin has fitted the N420 with a new sports exhaust and the Sports Pack. The latter includes revised springs, dampers and anti-roll bars.
Deliveries of the N420 will begin in August, with prices starting at £96,995. Buyers can choose between Coupe and Roadster and also between a six-speed manual gearbox and the Sportshift automated manual.
