September will see the launch of the M Sport pack for the
new 5 Series. Both the saloon and estate versions get the styling and suspension package, available with every engine in the range.
For around £3,000 over an equivalent SE spec car, the M Sport pack adds stiffer suspension, 18-inch M Sport light alloys and an aerodynamic body kit.
Inside there's a set of sports seats, the steering wheel has a little M on it, as does the gear lever, the roof lining is darker, and some of the trim is aluminium.
At the same time BMW will launch the 535d, powered by a 295bhp twin-turbo six-cylinder diesel with 443lb.ft from 1,750rpm. In M Sport guise that will cost £45,320; a Touring will cost about two-grand more.
A 201bhp 525d Touring will hit showrooms in September too, as will a 528i Touring, with 254bhp.
