Polestar is a racing outfit with years of experience working with Volvo; both for road cars and for racing. Now the reigning Swedish Touring Car Champions have released the Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Concept Prototype. Think of Polestar to Volvo, as what Mountune is to Ford. The ethos behind the C30 Prototype is to use the racing expertise of Polestar and create the ultimate Volvo for the road.
The interior and exterior design of the C30 Concept Prototype has been influenced by Polestar's racing know-how and through several years of testing, development and computer simulation.
The relationship between both brands has lead to Polestar creating Polestar Performance Engine Optimization Products that fit directly into standard Volvo cars. Such upgrades do not invalidate the Volvo warranty, and fuel consumption and emissions remaining the same.
The Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Concept Prototype will debut at the Gothenburg Motor Show from April 22-25; sadly, it is unlikely to ever make it into production.
