At the
Auto China Motor Show this week Chevrolet is showing off its new crossover MPV concept called the Volt MPV5. The electric concept car is based on the Volt, but there is ample room for a family of five. The MPV5 shares design cues with the Volt; including a closed grille and an aero-optimised lower air dam for improved fuel efficiency.
The Volt MPV5's exterior also has dual skylight panels, 19-inch alloy wheels and a 'Sega Mega Drive' inspired Sonic Blue Metallic paint. Inside, the MPV5 has been given two-tone leather seats and flexible seating.
To cure 'range anxiety' the Volt MPV5 features a 1.4-litre engine to accompany the electric Voltec system when the 32 miles range comes to an end. The petrol unit then generates power to sustain the battery charge and provides up to 300 miles of electric propulsion.
The Volt MPV5 is currently on show on the Chevrolet stand at the Auto China Motor Show.
