This is the revised Audi TT. It doesn't look too different, but that's because it's already a winning formula for Audi.

The TT is improved in almost every way though. There's a brand new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 208bhp, which replaces the 197bhp 2.0-litre TFSI unit. Audi has also dropped the 3.2-litre V6 unit from the line-up.

The new unit is quicker, cleaner and more efficient than both engines, boasting 42.8mpg combined economy and 154g/km. The 2.0-litre TDI engine remains, as do the high performance S and RS versions.

Along with the usual smattering of new interior trims and colours (brown, grey and red), a 'sport' button has been added to the cabin. Cars with magnetic ride control get it, and when pressed it reduces the steering assistance, firms up the damping, sharpens the throttle response and opens the exhaust up for a louder "grrrr".

Exterior cosmetic changes are subtle, with LED running lights now standard and some minor styling tweaks to the front bumper.

Expect it to arrive in the summer, with 'minimal changes in price' promised.
