It's a 599 but with an additional electric motor driving the rear wheels to make this Ferrari coupé a proper hybrid with emissions of 240g/km.
Why's it here?
To show the world that Ferrari is just as eco-concerned as the rest of us, and to prove that hybrid power can mean more performance. Even tipping the scales at 100kg more than a standard 599 the Hybrid Concept mashes 0-125mph in 10.4 seconds to beat the normal 599's 11-second time.
Show stopper or floor filler?
What do you think? A first ever hybrid Ferrari is always going to be a show stopper, although it can only travel three miles on electric power alone. However, expect to see a first Ferrari hybrid road car within three years and a full range by 2018.
