The sketch above is the first official view of Mitsubishi's new compact crossover, due to hit Japan in February and Europe in March 2010 in time for the
Geneva Motor Show.
Little else has been revealed as yet, though the designer's doodle indicates that the new SUV could look quite different to the
Concept-cX exhibited at the
2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, bearing a reshaped interpretation of the 'jet fighter' front grille and chunkier detailing.
Along with the option of front- or four-wheel drive, we expect the crossover to debut Mitsubishi's own 1.8-litre turbodiesel engine, replacing the aging VW 2.0-litre unit throughout the line-up.
