As if the debuts of the
2010 C3 and quirky new
Citroen DS3 were not enough for the French company to concentrate on at the
Frankfurt Motor Show, it has released a single teaser picture of a concept car also due to grace its stands and, to us at least, its silhouette looks awfully like that of the Citroen 2CV.
While Citroen has already confirmed that it will roll out new 'DS' variants based on the regular Citroen models, it is thought that the next will be larger than the DS3, so this concept is a bit of a mystery. It's obviously quite compact, though a closer look reveals a door shut-line, indicating that it has a set of rear-opening back doors to help getting into the cabin.
Even without seeing the car and its detailing in full, the concept's shape suggests one that is instantly appealing and perhaps something that could take on the Fiat 500 at its own game. We may have to wait until the first press day of the
Frankfurt Show to know for sure. Stay tuned...
