A significantly facelifted version of Volvo's C70 will grace the stands at the
Frankfurt Motor Show this month, featuring a new nose that hints at the next generation Volvo S60, restyled rear lights and an upgraded interior.
The most obvious change is to the front of the four-seat cabrio, which receives new wings and headlights, along with a larger Volvo badge and other styling details. These are thought to bring the C70 into line with the forthcoming S60 saloon. At the rear, the lights feature LED technology and have been restyled within the shape of the current model's.
Volvo has updated the interior too, with a redesigned instrument panel and softer leather for the seats.
Buyers have the choice of two petrol and two turbodiesel engines, with power outputs of 134- to 227bhp, torque of 170- to 295lb.ft, combined economy from 31.4- to 47.1mpg and CO
2 emissions varying between 158- to 215g/km.
Following a world debut in Frankfurt, the new C70 will go on sale early in 2010.
