For reps who like pounding the 'ring, here's the Vauxhall Insignia VXR in all its official glory. We're not pretending that the VXR is a new thing, but after completing more than 10,000km (6,200 miles) at Germany's infamous Nurburgring - the stomping ground of any performance car worth its super unleaded - the blue collar M3 is ready.

We've driven it, and we'll be telling you whether all 393,700,787 inches of lapping the dreaded German track was worth it very soon, but in the meantime we can let you know exactly how much it will cost: £30,995.

That's for a hatchback, though you can order a saloon or an estate too from September, with the former priced identically and the latter £32,320. We won't go on too much, because Kyle will tell you all about it soon enough, but just as a little amuse-bouche we'll tease your palates with the VXR's main ingredients. It's powered by a 2.8-litre turbocharged V6 generating 321bhp and going to all four wheels, capable of sending the car to a limited 155mph top speed via a 0-62mph time of just 5.6 seconds.
