If you're after a small French hatchback then you're in luck. Hot on the heels of
Renault's revised Clio comes a pair of new hatches from Peugeot and Citroen. New in the case of the Citroen anyway, its C3 a replacement rather than just the revision the new 207 boasts.
Following Citroen's recent design language the C3 looks good, though we're hoping it has spent a bit more on the interior than it did on the outgoing car, which had about as much structural integrity as wet cardboard. The design features a panoramic windscreen, which the firm dubs 'Zenith'.
Not to be outdone, Peugeot has revised its 207, though it's a case of blink and you'll miss the changes. Key alterations are under the bonnet, where a revised range of engines will be nicer to the planet, and inside - where Peugeot has added standard kit like USB connectivity and Bluetooth telephony. A gearchange indicator is also added to the smarter interior, lest you forget to shift up when the engine gets a bit noisy.
On sale in August, the revised Peugeots beat their Citroen counterparts to the showrooms, with the chevron badged cars not likely to be on sale until well after their official revealing this September at the
Frankfurt motorshow.
