Summer is on the way and Mercedes has announced a special version of the SLK to tempt buyers. Intriguingly named, the '2LOOK Edition' comes with a high level of interior equipment and a choice of special paint finishes.
The two standard colours for the model are Calcite White and Black, while Obsidian Black metallic paint is an option and "designo" Mystic White is available to special order. The 18-inch alloy wheels also come in a choice of colours: Titanium Silver or Chrome Shadow. Black headlamp surrounds and '2LOOK Edition' badges help to identify the limited edition model.
The interior also receives treatment with Nappa leather on the seats, steering wheel, centre armrest and door panels. Reflecting the body colour options, the colour scheme for the trim is black and white. The seats also feature Mercedes's AIRSCARF neck-level warm air system and internal heaters while a transparent wind deflector keeps out draughts.
Based on the
SLK 200 Kompressor, the 2LOOK costs £31,235, or about £655 less than it would cost to specify a standard car to the same level. Only 150 examples of the model will be built making the 2LOOK a rare 'sight'.
