Chevrolet's new supermini, the Spark, will make its world debut at this March's
Geneva Motor Show. Also on the show stand will be the new mid-sized saloon, the Cruze, which was launched last year in Paris.
The Spark will be sold not just in Europe but in 'key markets' around the world, including India and the USA. Power comes from 1.0- and 1.2-litre petrol engines, which are claimed to be fuel efficient - although no figures are currently available. Angular styling both outside and within the cabin is claimed to appeal equally to young and old.
Chevy's Cruze was first seen at the
Paris Motor Show last year and the entire range will be on display for the first time in Geneva. The four-door saloon is offered with 1.6- and 1.8-litre petrol engines and a 2.0-litre turbodiesel and should fit between the Lacetti hatchback and the larger Epica saloon in the Chevrolet range.
The Cruze will be launched in July this year while the Spark is due to arrive either at the end of 2009 or early 2010. Prices and specifications for both models will be announced nearer to their respective launch dates. Anyone wanting an early look at both cars can visit the Geneva Motor Show from 7th to 15th May.
