| Performance details | Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 |
If you have a spare $103,300 and happen to live in the USA, you can join the queue to buy a new Corvette ZR1. It's definitely worth the wait and the cash as this 6.2-litre charger can crack 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 205mph, and all with a price tag that seriously undercuts any similarly swift opposition
Corvette is very proud of what it's achieved and goes on to quote 0-100mph in a mere 7.0 seconds. It even boasts the ZR1 is more fuel efficient that the likes of the
Ferrari 599 GTB and Lamborghini Murcielago that offer the same sort of performance.
The standard ZR1 comes with a lightweight interior to emphasise its sporting credentials. However, buyers can spend $10,000 on an options package that includes, leather seats, climate control, satnav and a top-spec Bose stereo. There's also the option of chrome alloy wheels for $2,000. Anyone buying a ZR1 will also have to pay a $1,700 gas guzzler tax in the USA, though this still seems like good value considering the ZR1's performance per buck ratio.
