Kia has announced details and pricing for its updated Optima range, which is to include a hot 244hp version of the Optima Sportswagon estate. Exterior styling is sharpened-up with revised bumpers and lights, including LEDs at the rear. Inside, it's packed with tech across the range with all manner of infotainment and driver assistance systems. All models get Kia's new 136hp 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine, apart from the Sportswagon GT, which gets a punchy 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit. Prices for the upgraded Optima range run from £22,260 for an entry-level (though still extremely well-specced) saloon all the way up to £33,350 for the Sportswagon GT.
