What's all this about?
Renault has added a more powerful engine to the Captur line-up; the dCi 110 has 110hp and meets Euro6 emissions regulations. Prices start at £17,695 depending on trim level with the order book opening on 1st April.
What are the figures?
As well as offering an extra 20hp over the dCi 90 powerplant there is 260Nm of torque (up 40Nm). Despite the extra performance there isn't much difference in the official economy and emissions figures; on the combined cycle up to 76.4mpg is possible with a CO2 output of 98g/km (76.3mpg and 95g/km for the 90hp diesel). More power also means a claimed 0-62mph time of 11.0 seconds and 109mph top speed.
What else do you get?
The new engine is available with Dynamique, Dynamique S and Signature trim levels. Standard equipment includes MediaNav with integrated satellite navigation and multimedia connectivity accessed via a seven-inch touch screen; it also gets climate control and 17-inch silver alloy wheels. Dynamique S adds two-tone alloys, rear parking sensors and power folding, heated door mirrors. At the top of the range is the £20,795 Signature with R-Link multimedia system, TomTom LIVE navigation, 4x35W Arkamys sound system and leather upholstery.
