25 Aug: Infiniti will add Moving Object Detection to its parking sensors in the next couple of years. The system is undergoing final testing in Japan and is designed to work with the 360 degree 'Around View' parking cameras to detect objects moving near the car.

25 Aug: Land Rover has committed to support the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Six Defender 110 Station Wagons have been donated to disaster relief in Pakistan. Since 2007 Land Rover's support of the IFRC has included the donation of 60 vehicles.

24 Aug: The Skoda UK Motorsport Fabia S2000, driven by Guy Wilkes, will entertain visitors to Rallyday, 'the UK's premiere rally car show'. The show takes place at Castle Combe, Wiltshire, on 18 September and will feature on-track demonstrations of rally cars.

24 Aug: Alfa Romeo fans have voted the Giulia GTAm as their favourite model from the company's 100-year history. The championship-winning racing car beat the 8C Competizione and iconic Alfa Spider Duetto to the top spot.

24 Aug: Chevrolet has revealed the results of a nationwide poll to find Britain's most beautiful view. In reverse order the top three are; Seven Sisters in Sussex; Derwentwater, Cumbria and Lake Buttermere also in Cumbria.

 | 20 Aug: Three generations of Camaro will meet on Chevrolet's stand at this weekend's British Touring Car Championship race at Silverstone. A replica of the 1970 Z28 from the British Saloon Car Championship, a 1976 car and the current Camaro will be on display.

 | 19 Aug: Smart is celebrating ten years in the UK market with a limited edition gb-10 model. Just 100 examples will be built with unique logos, silver paint, 15-inch alloy wheels and leather seats. Prices start at £10,695.

 | 19 Aug: Mitsubishi has reduced prices for the i-MiEV. Cars ordered for delivery after 1 January 2011 will cost £28,990. Customers will also benefit from the Government's £5,000 grant for buyers of electric vehicles, further reducing the cost.

 | 12 Aug: Jaguar Land Rover has signed up as an 'Official Supporter' of England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup. Four Range Rovers, a Discovery 4 and four Jaguar XJs will be supplied to the FIFA Inspectors to use later this month.
