It certainly is, isn't it? This, in case you missed our earlier story, is the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. Technically, the images show the concept version that was on display at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este at Lake Como, Italy last month, though the big news here is that Aston has confirmed it'll go into production, with customers getting their cars in the first quarter of 2017.
Will it look like this?
Aston Martin says it will, describing the production version in detail. So you can assume it'll feature the aerodynamic add-ons all-round marked out in black, the large expressive front grille, sloping double-bubble roof and that stunning rear end. There you'll find a retractable spoiler, quad exhausts and new LED lights that are 'bladed' like those on the Aston Martin Vulcan. Oh, and all the bodywork is made of carbon fibre and completely unique.
Presumably it's a two-seater?
We're not yet entirely sure. The images of the concept car reveal that there are rear seats, as there are in the standard Vanquish, but that new roofline must surely dent headroom. Not to matter, the rest of the interior is lavishly trimmed by Zagato with herringbone carbon fibre, aniline leather and something called 'shadow and anodised bronze'. There are also quilted leather sports seats with plenty of Zagato 'Z' details.
Anything new under the bonnet?
Not massively, but it hardly needed anything new, did it? The 6.0-litre V12 powerplant is present and correct, with peak power increased to 600hp. Aston Martin quotes 0-60mph in about 3.5 seconds, which isn't much quicker than the standard Vanquish, but there is a new suspension tune so the Zagato car should feel quite different to drive.
You've not mentioned the price...
That's because it's largely irrelevant, as Aston Martin will only make 99 examples of the Vanquish Zagato and, going on past performance (Aston and Zagato have worked together for over 50 years now), this car will be an appreciating asset before too long. We reckon it'll cost a cool half a million pounds to buy in the UK.
