What's all this about?

Citroen will be bringing its facelifted Berlingo Multispace and LCV models to the Geneva Motor Show.

Which one is the passenger version?

The Multispace. The LCV is a commercial vehicle. Otherwise known as a 'van'.

What has been changed?

There are very mild tweaks to the front-end design, specifically to the grille and bumper, the latter of which houses repositioned daytime running lights. Two new colours are also available, which are Acier Grey and Moka Brown. Inside, rear knee room now stands at 245mm and the boot space is the very definition of cavernous - 675 litres with all three independent rear seats in place, or a gargantuan 3,000 litres with them removed. Berlingo owners can also now open the rear window and inside there's a new Touchdrive Interface infotainment system with a seven-inch control screen.

Any other tech changes?

Active City Brake has been added to the Berlingo range, while extra front parking sensors and a reversing camera are fresh standard spec. Also, the Multispace receives a range of BlueHDi EU6 diesel engines (no petrols), of 75-, 100- and 120hp outputs. These can return anywhere between 65.7- and 68.9mpg and 109- to 113g/km CO₂ (depending on model, as some come with start-stop), with an ETG6 automatic transmission an option on the 100hp variant and the 120hp getting an extra ratio in its manual transmission; it's a six-speed item.

What about the van?

EU5 e-HDi engines are still available alongside the BlueHDi units in the LCV, while it can be specified with an Extenso cabin, which allows three people to sit side-by-side and which also has folding passenger seats to accommodate extra-long items. And if none of that floats your boat, the Berlingo Electric LCV comes with a 68hp, 200Nm electric motor capable of around 105 miles on a charge.
