What's all this about?
This is a new D-segment concept car from Kia.
Will it be at Geneva?
Naturally, that's why we're only seeing it in teaser format here. From what we can see, it has the same 'tiger-nose' grille that's a hallmark of all current Kia products, while the Korean company tells us it has 'confident, powerful lines' and is designed to be 'a sanctuary from the stresses of the modern world'. Quite.
So why is this making the news?
Because you're almost certainly looking at the next-generation Optima here, rather than something that'll never see the showroom light of day. As the concept currently doesn't have a name, expect it to be confirmed as the Optima in Geneva in early March, where it will make its full debut.
